About Megan

(she/her)

A co-founder of Praxis, Megan brings a decade of public affairs, communications, and campaign experience to help clients accomplish their strategic goals.

Megan’s involvement with the public process began in the electoral space, where she has a record of success at the state, legislative, and local level as a consultant, campaign manager, spokesperson, and fundraiser. This includes roles helping to elect Washington County Commissioners Nafisa Fai and Pam Treece, Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler, State Senator Janeen Sollman, and passing revenue measures to fund affordable housing, education improvements, and public safety services.

In the past five years, Megan has branched out to work extensively on public affairs and communications, leading several public sector projects with municipalities across Oregon. She has also been involved in issue advocacy wins for some of Oregon’s biggest policy issues: passing landmark school funding and historic legislation for statewide rent control and safe gun storage.

Born and raised in San Francisco, Megan graduated from the University of Oregon with an honors degree in Political Science and a B.S. in Sociology. In addition to her work in politics, Megan is a co-owner in the family business, The Horseshoe Tavern, a popular bar in the Marina District of San Francisco.
